Musharraf withdraws from Sri Lanka due to fitness problems
Dhaka Bangladeshi team captain and all-rounder Musharraf Murtaza has left Sri Lanka due to fitness issues, replacing Tamim Iqbal as the team lead. All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin also dropped out of the series due to injury problems, with fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed and all-rounder Farhad Raza representing the team alternately.
Bangladesh team will play three ODIs during Sri Lanka tour. According to a statement issued by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, both players will not be available to the team in the series against Sri Lanka, as Musharraf and Saifuddin suffer injuries during the training session. Has been made part of the squad as a replacement for Saifuddin. It should be noted that the Bangladeshi team did not already have the services of Shakib Al Hasan and Lawton Das.
