In a thrilling last-second victory over Rashid Khan’s team, Rinku Singh of the Kolkata Knight Riders performed the unthinkable against Gujarat Titans by smashing five consecutive sixes and scoring 48 runs in just 21 runs.
Khan, who was heading the reigning champions in place of the ill Hardik Pandya, nearly won the game for his team by recording the first hat trick of IPL 2023. Rashid removed Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Shardul Thakur in quick succession, but Rinku had other plans.
When Yash Dayal bowled the final over, 29 runs were needed off of just six balls, which appeared to be a bit much. However, Rinku hit five consecutive sixes, turning the game around, and the two-time champions KKR won in a spectacular fashion!
